The Setting

West Shore, Pittenweem

From the air, West Shore is a line of harbour-village houses facing straight onto the Forth. No 9 is the largest house in the row, with nothing between it and the water but the shore.

It is the East Neuk at its most characterful: working fishing boats, salt air and a stretch of coast made for walking.

  • Seafront on West Shore
  • Pub, shop, post office and baker about 3 minutes' walk
  • Fife Coastal Path along the shore
  • Anstruther about 5 minutes away
